About the Position:
Thee Agency is seeking a dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to an individual in Annandale, NJ.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others, building meaningful relationships, and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in reaching their personal goals and maintaining independence.
We are seeking a male DSP who is patient, reliable, and comfortable providing individualized care and community-based support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct one-on-one support to an individual receiving DDD services
- Assist with daily routines while promoting independence and personal choice
- Support community outings, activities, and personal interests
- Encourage skill development and participation in meaningful activities
- Provide companionship and positive engagement
- Complete required documentation accurately and timely
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and respect at all times
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a DSP, CHHA, CNA, caregiver, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- DDD experience preferred
- Must be dependable, patient, and compassionate
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- CPR/First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain)
